HIGH AS A KITE (at Cha-am, Mar 13-14)
Kites flying high in the sky !!!! is being celebrated at this colourful event. The popularity of kites has humble origins in the Sukhothai and Ayuddhaya periods. This festival will put that talent on display with local and international kite - fighting performance, flying contest. Kites of different designs, ranging from animals to cartoons. Global Carnival in Town (through Mar 14)
The Carnival features 21 world-class rides in an amusement park in front of the British Embassy on Witthayu Rd., ( 10 mins or next 4 BTS stations from the hostel). Open daily from 16:00-22:00 on weekdays and 10:00-23:00 on weekends
Materials From Nature (through April 4, close Monday)
The exhibition presents various ideas to add value to agricultural leftovers,like hay, banana bark and coconut husk, as well as raw agricultural matrials such as tree bark, plant seeds, flowers, mollusc shells or even caly, turning them into fine materials for many real-life applications. Exhibition at Thailand Creative & Design Centre (TCDC), 6th floor, The Emporium Shopping Centre.
